Mary Lake-Thompson paints from her studio in Oroville, in Northern California, where the surrounding countryside and wildlife feed almost everything she makes. She began with large watercolors, sold prints out of the trunk of her car up and down California, and grew that into the flour sack towels and giftware her name is known for.
