The Sea Goddess belongs to the mythical figures Laurel Burch returned to throughout her life, women and spirits drawn from her own imagined world rather than any particular tradition.
Laurel Burch was self-taught, and she started at nineteen hammering jewelry from scrap metal in San Francisco to support her children. She was born with a rare bone disease that broke her bones more than a hundred times and often kept her painting from a bed or a wheelchair. None of it made it into the work, which stayed joyful to the end.

This is a very nice-looking wallet! Looks just like it is pictured online. I like that it holds many cards in a compact form that will fit in any size purse. Since I don't carry change around any more, or even much cash, this is a great wallet for modern times :).
