Laurel Burch was self-taught, and she started at nineteen hammering jewelry from scrap metal in San Francisco to support her children. She was born with a rare bone disease that broke her bones more than a hundred times and often kept her painting from a bed or a wheelchair. None of it made it into the work, which stayed joyful to the end.

I admire & love the work of the late Laura Burch. I especially like her subjects. There are animals, ancient people, & the sun & moon. Her drawings & the fact that she used very bright & vivid colors I believe is her trademark. I am drawn to her designs. I was looking for items at MonarquebyFigDesign's shop on Etsy. I just loved all of the various things this shop offered, plus the items were on sale. This particular one is called "Dogs and Doggies Eyeglass Case. " I am keeping this for myself. I have very many of Burch's Canine / Dog items. When I see something new with Dogs in it, I buy it. This seller shipped the item(s) quickly and safely. This Dog and Doggie eyeglass case is identical to the one I saw in MonarquebyFigDesign's shop. I am very pleased with this entire deal. I will purchase from this seller again.

I bought 2 eyeglass holders. They arrived very quickly. Appear well made, w/ velvety interiors, roomy enough to hold my prescription glasses. Very cute images. Only gave customer service 3 stars because site implies products are made in USA, and they arrived w/ “Made in China” stickers on them. Transparency, especially on Etsy, is important.
